MEET THE TEAM
As a trained dancer I've always been interested in how the body works. In 2014, I discovered how integral health and food was to sustain a strong body and mind. My journey began at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist and Vegan Natural Chef. These studies, alongside 250 hours of clinical practice, together with the success I've had in restoring my own body from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), anaemia and chronic fatigue, have lead me to develop plant-based living programs to help my clients maintain a sustainable plant-based diet and conscious lifestyle. I use fresh, seasonal, and where possible, locally grown plant foods. A lot of the recipes I develop are plant-based Mediterranean, which is my personal favourite cuisine.
In addition, I run holistic and spiritual retreats (Nature's Magick Holistic Retreats) where I develop therapeutic food menus, cook, teach nutritional and dance workshops.
I'm also a Pole Dance Instructor and a qualified Choreographer, and in 2017 I opened my own dance school (Exotique Dance School).
At these retreats, I combine my passion for naturopathy, dance and spirituality to create a safe space for women where they can feel empowered. I teach body awareness, self-love and the importance of food to strengthen our physical and emotional well-being.
Cooking (and eating) has always been one of my favourite hobbies, and during my undergrad I became fascinated with the role food plays on our health. This lead me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Science, then go on to complete a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition. I believe intuitive eating and a plant-heavy diet are the base for optimal nutrition and I create recipes reflecting this. My specialties include helping people fall in love with healthy foods, heal the gut and overcome overweight and obesity.
I owe a big thank you to my mum who instilled in me a love of veggies and kindness to animals at a really early age. My childhood memories are full of healthy, whole foods and home cooked meals, and my love for a plant-based lifestyle has only continued to grow.
However, I chose to study Art and Design instead of pursuing Culinary Arts, and left my passion for nutrition and cooking on the back burner. I started to work in restaurants to pay for my art studies, and I wanted to create a kitchen that put emphasis on whole, healthy foods.
Now, almost 11 years later, I am working as a plant based chef in Latvia, Lithuania, France and England. I have been creating menus and meal plans for restaurants and private customers, running busy kitchens and leading cooking classes. I have seen lifelong ailments disappear in my clients and helped them experience a sense of renewal in so many ares of mental and physical health. My intention is to educate people how to become more conscious and connected to their food choices, and create a mindful and sustainable lifestyle that will support their health and our planet together.
I'm a certified (by Yoga Alliance RYT200 & RYT30) Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga Teacher, a Plant Based Chef, Massage Therapist with a background in Psychology (BSc & MSc) and a passion for Health & Wellbeing.
I've spent 8 years training under various yoga teachers in London, Dubai, Sydney &
India. I've been blessed to delve into many different styles of Yoga broadening and deepening her knowledge about the theory and practice of Yoga. Nina incorporates her love for movement, flow and dance into my Yoga routines and believes strongly in practising Yoga on and off the mat.
To fuel the body and mind, especially to enhance Yoga practise, I strongly advocates plant-based ingredients as a main food source. I've worked with big organisations such as Sharan and co-opened a predominantly Vegan Cafe called Buddha Bowl in Sydney. I love getting creative and exploring plant-based gastronomy to add flavour and excitement to a dish while keeping it healthy and wholesome.
